Been Busy!

Wow my past week has just flown right on by! Next week I just have tests, and then I am done! I been really busy this past week with doing homework and getting everything ready for my graduation open house.
I am very ready to be done with school, and ready to get out into the real world. I am so done with homework and everything else that comes with school!
I am so excited about starting my new job, however I am starting in the summer, which makes me the most nervous because there is not a lot to do in Youth Ministry in the church in the summer. So I guess it will have to be a wait and see type of game

I am starting to read this book called "When God writes your love story." I bought this book over a year ago, and I could never bring myself to reading it. It is a book about giving God the pen, to write your love story. I think it took me so long to start reading it because I don't know if I am too fond of the title...am I really willing to let God write my love story, give him the pen, and let him have control? In the past few week I decided, well I may as well give it a shot, because whatever I am doing for my love life is not working. So I have nothing to loose. So I have started reading. I am having a tough time "getting into" the book, and find it hard to pick it up each time to read more from where I left off. But I keep pushing myself to pick it up and read it. I have only gotten to about page 15, but I only started it Tuesday, and I read it before I go to bed, so I don't get to far before falling asleep. Lets hope I can stick with it because it is a book that I really want to read. If you are looking for a good book ladies, pick this one up. Have any of you other ladies read it? What did you think? What didn't you like?

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

The Joy of Laughter

Today had started off just like any other day, I got up, went to school, ran some errands, got home and was ready to start some homework. After about an hour of being home, my friend Dom called and said "I only have a few minutes before my phone dies, but can you give me a ride.." Long story short, I went to pick her up and take her to her car, we then proceeded to go to a friends house in town, to have supper. Where we were also met but another close friend.

I enjoy very much the group of friends that I have, because we always seem to have such a great time! Even though all of us were not together, and it was very short seeing each other because people had things to do and places to go, but in this short amount of time, I laughed for the whole hour or two. I love laughing, and I don't think that I do it enough, but whenever I am with this group of people it is all that we do! For that I am full of joy. It gives me some sense of peace, happiness. I love being surrounded by people who build you up, and what better way to that than laughter.

The downfall to this is that none of us live in the same town! So when we get together we make the most of it. I met this group of friends at the camp that I have worked at for the past 5 summer, but I know that these will be the lifelong friends that I will have for a lifetime.

I hope that you all have some group of friends that you can laugh with until you cry, pee your pants, and be yourself around. Friends that know the real you, inside and out, there for you through thick and thin. Friends that you can cry with when needed, and laugh until you can't breathe. I have these friends, and I am so glad for each of them, I hope you all find a group of friends that you can do this with.

"Peace I leave with you my friends, my friends.....and I am with you until the end."

Here we are, missing one...Kathryn

Frustration

Being that I am starting to get back into this blog thing, I want to change up the look of my page! I am not too fond of the designs/templates that are already given. I have been creeping around on a ton of other peoples blog pages, and some of you have really cool templates...so HOW DO YOU DO IT? Ha. So much advice/help/links is very very appreciated!

In other news today is super gloomy outside, and I am trying very hard to not fall into the mood which mother nature has decided to take on this morning, however as I am sitting in this chair writing this, all I want to do is be lazy! However I have to much homework to do, so I can not be sitting around doing nothing.

In super bright news! I only have about 10 days of my college life to go! Then I will be graduating. I can not wait, I am ready to not have any homework to do anymore, and these next two weeks of school, makes for way to much homework.

I hope you are having a better day than mother nature! I am sure not taking after her, and being in a much better mood!

Almost a year since my last post.

So it has been far too long I have decided since I have posted on here. I have never been much of a blogger, but I am going to try to get back into it again. So to recap my life since I have last posted:

*Spent the Summer at Camp of the Cross
*Had a great Summer at camp
*Went to Lifelight
*Met Tenth Avenue North (great Christian Band)
*Entered into my Senior Year of College
*I am now soon to graduate
*Got a a full time job at a new Church (Lord of Life Lutheran Church)
*Will be leaving the job I am at
*Over all a year full of great memories

So this list may be short, but some big things are happening in it. I will start at the top, I have now worked for 5 years at the Bible camp that I love, and have gone to since I was a kid, it was also my last summer, due to the fact that I now got a full time job. It was time to move on as well.

Meeting Tenth Avenue North was a huge highlight, I also got to sing with them, and a bunch of my friends. T.A.N. is doing this thing where they record their fans singing with them on their new album coming out in August, (my name will be in it!) It was a great day, and a memory I will never forget

I can not believe that I am now a Senior in college, well I only have 11 school days left, so it is practically over, but man has this time gone by so fast! I am very excited to be done with school. I was going to go on to Seminary, but I decided that I need a little bit of a break. This leads me into the next big thing that happened to me this year.

In January I started applying for jobs, most of them were out of state. I was not looking to forward to moving, but it it met that I got a job that would pay back student loans, I had to take it. So, applications, resumes etc went out in the mail. I got lots of calls back, a few interviews, and I landed the job here in town at a church called Lord of Life Lutheran Church. So I am very excited about it, and can not wait to start it. When I started going to Sunday School, it is actually where my parents and I first attended church, so that is neat.
It is sad though to be leaving the church that I am currently at. It will be hard, but I will still have connections with the youth at this church, being that I will still be in the same town. I am excited for the change, and that is the nice thing about my job I think, that I can change work places throughout my career. They main thing I want to do in life is work at a Bible Camp/Open/Create/ my own Bible Camp someday. Outdoor Ministry is my passion, and it is what I truly love to do!

So these have been some big things, and I hope you have enjoyed "catching up" I hope all of you are having a beautiful spring, and God's presence continues to surround all of you! Until next time stay happy and healthy.

Here are some photos to give you some visual.
